- I thought that _The Man From Barbarossa_ got much better at the end. In my
- opinion, the worst entry into the Bond Canon that gardner has made has to be
- his latest, _Death is Forever_. This is absolutely awful, with a lot of "cute"
- little in-jokes about Ian Fleming's writing style and a completely out-of-place
- endorsement for safe sex (Bond in bed with Girl, Bond gets condom--OK no big
- deal so far, then BOND GIVES A LECTURE ON SAFE SEX???!!! "There are some risks
- even I'm not willing to take" or some such rot--COME ON!!) It's too bad, too,
- because in my opinion, DEATH IS FOREVER is one of the best Bond-sounding titles
- that anyone's ever come up with. Wierd thing, though: In my opinion, One of
- gardner's best books has the worst title: WIN, LOSE, OR DIE. Maybe its a
- trend.
-
- Along the same lines, has anybody ever written Bond fiction? If so:
-
- 1) what titles have you used? I've found that in Bond fiction,
- or adventures for the Bond RPG, one of the hardest things to come up with is
- the title.
- 2) Can we get some people to post their fiction to this group?
