- The one doing this log is really even dumber than we thought - all he had
- was a log of the people infected, right? And he said that no one immediately
- discovered the virus, right? Oh really?
- Notwithstanding that definitely not all people on ANY muck knows all the
- insides and outsides of all the programming on it, hence would not know how
- to interpret an error message (except to do what the error message does, i.e.
- report it to whomever it says to report it to), there is an even more basic
- flaw in the hacker's reasoning: the really astute programmers will discover
- the bug, and not *bother* doing any page, say, whatever, knowing it is useless.
- Therefore, they will *not* show in the log at all. What will they do? Well,
- picking up the phone and calling the wizards directly comes to mind... That
- also doesn't show. And having the characters infected and discovering it
- logging off and going on another muck to talk about it also wouldn't show.
-
- That character is even more clueless, REALLY clueless, than I thought.
