- Hmm. I recall that when I read this treatise, it contained a footnote
- describing what was meant by "controlled schizophrenia." The term
- refers to what takes place when a writer places himself in the mind of
- his created character in order to explore the reactions that the
- character would have in the story. This is hardly insanity; it is
- actually creativity.
