- I think that the *EVENT* of the twins' arrival was that was one of the
- momentous things that coudn't happen while everything was repeating becasue of
- the prophesy. I'm thinking here, so please bear with me. Since everything
- was repeated, even Polgara's lack of children, she COULDN'T have any BECAUSE
- of the prophesy being unfulfilled. So that when the twins did arrive, that
- freed many things and allowed (or would proved be a better word?) things to go
- along the "natural course", like the Marags to return as a fully-fledged race
- again, and the Gods going on thier own ways, with the exception of Eriond who
- stayed behind. So that sort of proved that things were going along the proper
- course. Belgarath talks about this on a hill close to the cottage to Garion
- and Durnik. Then, when one of the twins were born, there was a lot of light
- and when the second was born, there was a whole sky of light and then the Gods
- all made a last appearance.
