- At least three other references spring to my mind :
- 1) At the beginning of "Queen of Sorcery", there is another reference to
- Erastide, which in this case occurs 'between the narration of the
- two novels'. I may be mistaken, but I seem to remember Barak gives
- Garion a sword at this one.
- 2) Doesn't the crowning of Belgarion itself occur on Erastide?
- 3) In "Guardians of the West', Garion gives Errand Horse on Erastide.
- I wouldn't be surprised if there were some other references around somewhere.
- I'm not quite sure what time of the year Erastide is supposed to be, but I seem
- to remember snow in Riva at the time of Belgarion's arrival. However, this
- doesn't mean much, since Riva is a pretty cold place.
-
- Joyous Erastide, folks!!
