  14.       I think a good idea might be for ClariNet to start adding headers or
  15.       footers to Dave Barry articles that explain that this should not be
  16.       passed around.  I don't mean legalese copyright notices, but just
  17.       friendly requests, like "Please do not distribute this article. 
  18.       Subscriptions to Dave Barry's articles are available by e-mail by
  19.       contacting <whatever address>@clarinet.com"

  21.       Certainly this is no deterrent, but it would let people know that
  22.       this isn't supposed to be done.  From my experience, people pass
  23.       things around on the Net because they don't know they're not supposed
  24.       to, not because they're trying to break the law.
