- Bye Don. You willbe back I am sure. How can you not find a way back to
- A.F.D.Q.?
-
- I agree 90% with your post about the press and the republican Liars.
- But I note that uncovering their lies is not enough. Because it was
- done many times. I remember about 1982 there were numerous articles and
- commentaries about how even tho' reagan lied and was caught that the
- America public simply did not care. And it was true. And during the
- elections, Bush lied and the press did indeed point out his lies. "128
- tax raises", for instance. Probably helped a little in his defeat.
- And I did notice others. But you are right, not enough. I am always
- amazed how our NeoConservative fools can swallow these lies and clamber
- for more. And as long as they do, somebody will give 'em happy,
- whopping, lies.
- And let's face it. doesn't look like things are going to get better on
- this front for some time. But I wll say that the press has finally
- gotten good at debunking election frauds despite the fact that many still
- ignore this if it is THEIR candidate that lies. I noticed for instance
- that for three days after Dan's "debate" with Al Gore, the press had a
- good jolly time debunking Dan's little frauds to the nth detail.
- I was also impressed with the way that the claims of Marijuana found in
- Jerry Browns residence, ect were handled. So I have not given up hope
- with the press totally yet.
- Actually, this election seemed the best in two decades as far as the
- press goes. I think there may even have been a little bit of rivalry
- between pundits and newspapers and TV organizations to have the best and
- most thourough debunkings brought to us the fastest. The move to debunk
- Negative Ads is encouraging too.
-
- So I say cheer up, it aint ALL bad. Just make sure next election, that
- if you see a good choice debunking performed, you write the organization
- responsible and thank 'em, and demand more of the same. And if everybody
- did that occasionally, we would have a better press and a hopefully
- better and more truthful elections.
-
- Pope Charles SubGenius Pope Of Houston. We demand more debunkimgs.
