  21. First of all, why are you interested in floating?  Much of the 
  22. same states can be induced with the ganzfield effect of sensory
  23. deprivation - cheap and easily.
  24.  
  25. For creating the ganzfield "blank-out effect", cut two ping-pong
  26. balls in half and cellophane the halves (sans logo) over your eyes.
  27. Lie under a red light source and keep your eyes open.  Soon your
  28. visual center will go black even though your eyes are open and
  29. receiving info...  This is a well documented effect of visual
  30. sensory deprivation.  Expanded states of awareness ensue.  You can
  31. also add audio ganzfield by listening to white noise in headphones.
  32. White noise can be taped between radio stations.
