  31. I here that Microsoft is working on a single chip computer design.  It is 
  32. essentially a 286 on a chip with MSDOS and Windows on Rom.  With hardware 
  33. for controlling devices built in.  Why?  so they can have a gebneral 
  34. purpose controller that can contol any device it is built into and that 
  35. anyfool that can use Visual Basic can program to his or her souls 
  36. content.  You could call home, check the thermostat, set up your VCR to 
  37. record something for when you get home, preheat the oven, and drop some 
  38. Voice Mail on the main household computer, for your brat kid.
  39.   Or.....?   What would you do when every device you own hase a microsoft 
  40. controller that can be controlled remotely by you or your computer?
