I meant soc.culture.bangladesh in place of soc.culture.pakistan
and it was my absent-mindedness that was to blame. I guess it was very clear

the newsgroup not the politics of the 2 countries. I am sorry for that typo
however. Also the organizer (??!!) needs all the support he can get.

Assam has a large number of unwelcome(?) settlers who speak Bengali. Though
Assamese is the main/principal language in Assam, Bengali is a strong second.
That is all I meant. I did not intent to reduce the significance of Assamese.
Also some others have suggested that this newsgroup should be moved to
soc.lang.bengali or sci.lang.bengali. I have been flamed in alt.config for
keeping the discussions alive for 5 weeks. So, I would like your opinions
on this proposal immediately as to how and when I need to do so and in such
a case I would like consensus on the name. Please respond to this post immediately. If more people are in favor of acb, we will need to create it immediately
but if more people prefer sci.l.b or soc.l.b, then we need to move the discussion
