  20. Because there is very strong precedent that only games with a significant
  21. amount of discussion over a prolonged period of time in r.g.f.misc get
  22. their own newsgroup.  To date, that means xD&D.  Amber is still a new 
  23. game, and there's been no demonstration that it has the kind of staying
  24. power that would justify a mainstream group.

  26. Given that the 30 messages a day traffic has been a factor for perhaps
  27. a month, I don't honestly feel a mainstream group can be justified yet.
  28. If alt.games.frp.amber is created, and if it maintains high traffic
  29. levels for a year or so, then the time will be right for inclusion in
  30. the frp hierarchy.

  32. It's also worth noting that right now there are two proposals for new
  33. r.g.frp groups floating around, and muddying the waters with more would
  34. be undiplomatic.
