  33.     The NEA is endowed by the US Government.  It becomes a little
  34. iffy when one section of the population uses government funds to
  35. subsidise their particular taste in art.  Calling this censorship
  36. is wrong, but it's still a bad thing.  (Unlike corporate
  37. sponsorship, it's a little more difficult to stop providing the
  38. government with revenues if you disapprove of their taste in art.
  39. And with buttheads like Jesse Helms in government, you can take as
  40. a given disapproval of their taste in art.)
