  13. my 2 cents worth is this...the person who claimed that there
  14. is no such thing as european culture or african culture does have 
  15. a point....europe is a continent, and people from different areas
  16. approach things from dofferent people, and the same holds true for
  17. africa....in response to the person who argued that following
  18. that logic, there isn't french or german or whatever culture does have
  19. a point, but the french, as a group might be said to have more
  20. in common with each other than would say a french man and a german....
  21. if nothing else, language ties the smaller divisions together.

  23. also, i don't see what is wrong with maintaing one's heritage, the past
  24. makes us who we are....there are people who do take maintaining the group
  25. identity too far, but there is no reason why African-Americans can't remember
  26. their past and incorporate it into the future, any more than it would be
  27. wrong for me to value my heritage.........
