- A multisession disc is one that can be written on in many sessions (well, what
- do you want). As you may know, on a conventional optical disc, once the disc
- has been written on and its "directory" has been established, that disc cannot
- be written on any more. Multisession disc allow for multi-rewrites. That is
- not to say that it is a rewritable disc; it is not. For example, with the
- Photo CDs, the disc can hold 100 images. So if you are shooting 24 images at a
- time, you can take your disc back to your Photo CD rep at least three different
- times until the disc is filled.
-
- To the best of my understanding, /XA and multisession are the same thing.
