- I'm not that familiar w/ any of the CD-ROM specifications, so this
- may be very basic, BUT...:
-
- Can the audio be controlled by the software accessing the CD-ROM?
-
- i.e. Can the CD-ROM driver send messages to the drive to begin playing
- track #n/loop on track #n/stop and goto track #m/etc ?
-
- The eventual goal is to create a CD-ROM based software package which
- will play the audio through the standard audio output, instead of using
- some sort of machine specific audio in the CD-ROM itself (such as
- SoundBlaster, or whathaveyou...). How easy will this be to do? Any
- references to which I should be directed?
-
- Please e-mail any responses, if possible (Post as well, if others
- don't already know)
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Michael
