  11. I keep seeing the mention of subchannels here. What are they? I suppose
  12. the more general question is how a CD-ROM looks different from a hard
  13. disk to a SCSI bus. I get the impression that one can either read "data"
  14. or a lot of out-of-band information from the disc.
