  12. Jammer trys to pinch Kitten as she hustles by, laden with pizza and
  13. drinks. Kitten dodges him deftly. Warrior snorts. Jammer growls at him,
  14. and Warrior regards the rest of the party with some distress. Warrior is
  15. not used to prey that suddenly shape changes, not to mention all the 
  16. delicious looking FISH!

  18. Jammer pitches a peanut at Warrior, without moving his paws, Warrior
  19. snaps the peanut out of midair, and regards Jammer with an expression
  20. that asks "Have you lost your mind? You, of all people?"
  21.  
  22. "Well, Soldier, yer a year older. Do ye wish to keep the same name?
  23. Will Warrior due fer 1993?"
  24.  
  25. Warrior stares. Jammer laughs.
  26.  
  27. "We should take notes! Warrior says he doesn't care what I call him, and
  28. one more year onto a 3,000 year history makes very little statistical
  29. difference. He's not sure what all the distress is about, and wants to
  30. know where the wee dragons are."

  32. Jammer wishes all the patrons of The Place a Happy Happy.
  33.  
  34. Warrior, of course, wishes nothing to anybody. He turns, and gazes at 
  35. Toothpick for a minute, and then continues watching the party.

  37. -Jammer
  38. 5'9", 190. Black hair, shoulder length, tied back in the mannor of a
  39. San Poil Warrior. Blue jeans, blue work shirt, an tenny runners.
  40. A single Eagle Feather, stolen from a dream, well worn, tied to a Buck
  41. sheath. San Poil males over the age of 13 are NEVER unarmed, and Jammer
  42. is no exception. A small, subdued civilian size set of jump wings are
  43. on his collar, and a CIB, and a minature 2d Inf Div shield adorn his 
  44. sheath.
  45.  Jammer is 35 years old, and in a tribe where the average life
  46. expectancy
  47. is 42, Jammer is an elder. When pressed, Jammer says an elder is one
  48. who has assumed responsibility often enough to avoid it now wherever
  49. possible. Then he will grin, and buy you a drink. Jammer doesn't drink
  50. alchohal, and spiritual reasons prevent him from altering his mind,
  51. except by ceremony.
  52. Jammer has Seen The Bear, many times, in many forms. They know each
  53. other well.

  55. Jammer  met Warrior in a vision, Jammer is a Panther Dreamer.
  56. Warrior contains and controls all the facets of Jammer that let him
  57. survive Korea, so that Jammer doesn't have to be burdened with them,
  58. or carry them around, and be saddened by them. 
  59.  
  60. Warrior is a very dangerous animal, and completely devoted to Jammer.
  61. It has been eleven years since Warrior attacked.

  71. -Nicki, the puppers that lives with them.
  72. -All animals, and some humans.
  73. -Anything that is alive. 
  74. -Bravery.
  75. -Callahans.

  77. Jammer maintains many spiratual connections with the Grandfathers,
  78. and has learned to recognize danger, and, having learned that, also
  79. learned to recognize saftey, and warmth. Jammer believes one is not 
  80. possible without the other, and so both have value.

  82. Jammer had direct ancestors on the Trail of the Dead, and counts Looking
  83. Glass among his ancestors. Jammer is the Son of Powerful Warriors, and
  84. has claimed his place in their ranks. Jammer's great great grandfather
  85. heard Hinmaton Yalatkit give his famous "From where the Sun now stands,
  86. I will fight no more forever." speech after the Trail of the Dead.

  93. It is Winter, the season of Men-in-the-lodges. 
  94. Jammer is a nomad, and Jammer will winter here.

  96. Warrior teams up with Moon, and they stand watch as 1993 dawns.
