- Thyra--The residue in the glass makes a lovely fireball. "You seem to have our
- toasts down pat. Let me introduce you to another Callahans tradition. Care
- for a hug?"
-
- Dreamweaver opens his arms to accept the embrace of not only Thyra, but
- any others who might pad over, with a suprising gentleness. He also gives
- gentle scratches behind the ears to all the other fuzzy creaturesin the Place.
- (Purrr.)
-
- >She purrs as they embrace. "Mmmmm. That was nice. I think you'll do well
- >here. See you later."
-
- >A man in black leathers wearing a Greek Fisherman's cap notes Dreamweaver's
- >somewhat astonished gaze,
-
- (Not really astonished, more like appreciative.)
-
- >By the way, my name's Jason, welcome to Callahans. Have a seat. Can I
- >buy you a drin?" Dreamweaver notes that Jason is working with some sort
- >of laptop-sized personal computer...
- >"I see you noticed my Cyberdeck. I'm a decker, an information jockey. I
- >use this Cyberdeck to interface directly with the Matrix of computer
- >networks, to access, retrieve and manipulate data and information. I also
- >happen to write documentaries that you would call science fiction, in the
- >Cyberpunk genre. Now, what will you have?"
-
- "A Long Island Ice Tea, thanks."
- Dreamweaver realizes just _who_ he is talking to and almost spills his
- drink (except that most of it was already in his mouth). "Silk and Steel!
- I thought I recognised your address! I love your work, keep it up.
- Hopefully I'll get to read more of your stuff later."
- "I'm not much of a net-jock myself, but I do appreciate the work
- of those who are."
- "Ooh, I almost forgot to do something. I'll be back for my drink later."
-
- Dreamweaver heads out the door to pick up his candle and put it away for
- later. Turning to Didi-Sprite he says,
- "Hope my goodwishes help somewhat. And thank you for the X-mas
- greeting. I really liked the poem you posted earlier, the one about the
- two children and their father, but I can't find it anymore. Could you,
- please, post it again or e-mail me a copy?"
-
- Dreamweaver starts spinning a thread made of the kindness in his heart,
- and after a short time has woven some blankets.
- "if anybody feels cold, take one and its yours."
