- I think the False Cypress is the same kind of tree that I used to have.
- I had mine planted as a miniature forest: three groupings of several trees
- each with a path through it that turned into a tiny stream when I watered it.
- It didn't need any major pruning because they were in a forest setting but
- I would regularly nip the tips off to keep them small. (It smelled wonderfully
- like orange or citrus when I nipped it.) Alas... I had it outside overnight
- when a small animal (probably a mole) dug it up (I think to look for food)
- and destroyed many of the roots. It was never the same after that and died
- soon afterwards. :'(
-
- It was my favorite and I am planning to make a new forest with False Cypress
- trees next spring in the same pot. I hope you have better luck with yours!
