  26. Well info/thoughts on any BBS are much the same.. To make sure you find a
  27. software that yoou can handle, one that you like the feel of it. One that is
  28. cheap if possible. Do you want a netted BBS? Also multiple nodes?
  29. Also get another phone line.. Having your mother call you at work to bitch you
  30. out becuase she has been calling your house for four hours straight and all she
  31. got was a busy signal or a BEEEEP is real fun.. Also its a fun way to pick the
  32. phone up and get <nothhhiiinngg> becuase it s a modem on the other end.. 
  33. Maybe go for a theme for your BBS. Do you want discussion boards only? or do
  34. are you a file server? Also modem and capatibility. I have a modem that does
  35. not like my BBS software at all, but I can MOD it to like it better, also some
  36. people have odd modems.. Also how strong of Adult Only Policy..

  38. Quick question have you ever ran a BBS before? Been a co-sysop or jr-sysop?
  39. If you have files, will there be a adult area? Religious BBS and how far will
  40. you go? Also how to handle obnoxious posters/users... Pay for use or free BBS?
  41. I ran a BBS with a Zelazny Amber Theme to it.. with story boards.
  42. Might go for a sysops (freindly sysops welcome) area for help, info, and
  43. general sysop type stuff, such as known obnoxious modemers..
  44. Also how far will you go for different protection/access areas..
  45. Speed of BBS? Might take a look at DVORAK's Guide to Tellecommunications..
  46. Its mostly for DOS BBSes but. It has alot of good info..
