- Well my primary experience is with a local 16-line TBBS board running
- 14.4k modems on all 16 lines. Even with all lines full of callers
- downloading files (though I cannot attest to all those lines transferring at
- high speed) I have experienced no degradation in performance nor have I
- heard of anyone complaining of less-than-optimal CPS rates. I suppose my
- reactions to all this stem from the comments made by a few here that anyone
- wanting a multiline BBS would be a fool to use anything less than a
- Unix-based system. While I would never go so far as to say that TBBS is
- ideal under all curcumstances, I do think that it is perfectly adequate and
- cost-effective in many situations, especially for-profit information
- services.
