- My book has one page on massages for pregnant women. Basically, it
- says to follow the basic massage strokes. In the later months of
- pregnancy and in the first stage of labour, lying, uh, flat on your
- belly becomes obviously uncomfortable. The mother-to-be should then
- lie on her side with a pillow under her upper leg. You can kneel by the
- lower back, facing up the body, and circle you fingers on her lower back
- and sacrum, and then knead her buttocks as she relaxes them.
- During the firs stages of labour, if her legs are shaking, make her
- sit up, kneel between her legs and, fingers pointing down, mould your
- hands to the inner thigh and stroke from the upper thigh to the knee and
- back. Press firmly down the leg and then lightly up, keeping the flow
- continuous.
- Darn, gotta run. Quickly: Lucinda Lidell, _The Book Of Massage_

- Good luck with it.
