  3. Welcome to NetNews/CD. There are more options to cdrn than you want to think 
  4. about, so we won't list them here.  If you want to find out about them, read 
  5. the manual page(s).  There are some important things to remember, though:
  6.  
  7.   * cdrn is an extention of trn which is an extension of rn.
  8.   * All the threaded features of trn have been enabled as the defaults.
  9.   * Typing a space to any prompt means to do the normal thing.  You could
  10.     spend all day reading news and never hit anything but the space bar.
  11.   * So that cdrn news reading will not interfere with your daily non-CD news
  12.     reading, cdrn uses a directory in your home directory, .news by default, 
  13.     where it creates a subdirectory for each issue of NetNews/CD.  The .rn* 
  14.     files and the .newsrc are stored in the issue directory.  If you wish to 
  15.     edit a .newsrc file for a NetNews/CD issue, please do so in the appropriate
  16.     directory.  If you are not sure which issue's CD you have mounted, the file
  17.     /cdrom/issue.vol contains the issue directory information directory.
