It would be helpful to know what options you have considered and discarded and
perhaps why you discarded them.
My knee jerk response would be for you to get KERMIT. I have a VAX/VMS Kermit, version 3.1.111 which is not recent but servicable. You'll have to find a
KERMIT for the AS/400, I'll be very surprised if you can't find one.
