  12. In article <1992Nov18.164347.1@ptavv.llnl.gov>,
  13. oberman@ptavv.llnl.gov writes:
  14. >Is it about time for a VMSNET group for Alpha AXPs? The little devils are sure
  15. >cute, but they have some interesting characteristics that lend themselves to
  16. >broad discussion. It should help software porting problems with some advanced
  17. >discussion.
  18.
  19. I would like to see this group formed. Given that it may want to grow
  20. in the future, I feel that the group should be near the top of the
  21. vmsnet hierarchy, e.g. something like:
  22.
  23.     vmsnet.alpha    (perhaps initially)
  24.
  25. with more groups added later. As a few examples:
  26.
  27.     vmsnet.alpha.porting
  28.     vmsnet.alpha.porting.macro32
  29.     vmsnet.alpha.programming
  30.
  31. and perhaps some hardware related groups.
  32.
  33. >I propose a VMSNET Alpha group which would parallel the existing PDP-11 group.
  34. >I don't read the PDP-11 group, so I don't happen to know just where it is in
  35. >the heirarchy.
  36.
  37. vmsnet.pdp-11

  40. Thanks,
