-
- Indeed. However I remember seeing an ad in US published "Psychology
- Today" for Benson & Hedges which pictured a number of adults lounging
- in a room, smiling and chatting -- some of whom were smoking -- with
- the caption.
-
- "Benson & Hedges. For people who like to smoke."
-
- I quite liked it because of its simplicity, compared with the UKs
- Golden Pyramids, the piss-poor JPS "Black" series, and those which
- have followed.
-
- On the subject of advertising, my favourite at the moment (for similar
- reasons) is one which I believe [open to correction] is only shown
- locally in the Midlands for Birmingham based East End foods (Asian
- importer and packager). They buy slots quite late on C4 (and
- Central??) -- must be quite cheap now. Anyway, the one I'm thinking
- about proceeds as follows....
-
- [Shot of cartons of fruit juice]
-
- Voice over (slow and soft): "Drink East End Mango Juice... It's good."
-
- Nice and simple, eh?
