- After many weeks of anticipation, I finally headed out the to Dean Dome
- last night to see Bruce Sprintsteen. I had seen Bruce many times over
- the years at places like the Tower Theater in Philly, the Spectrum in
- Philly, and the Cap Center in Washington. I also had heard many good
- things about the Dean Dome facility so I jumped at the opportunity to
- see Bruce in one of the "smaller" venues.
-
- Boy, was I dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, the show was classic
- Springsteen with all the crowd antics, improv, etc. The problem was
- the sound, it was dreadful. It was impossible to understand any word
- he said, let alone the words to any song (even though I know most of
- them). The sound was extremely muddy, with no high-end; standing waves
- everywhere. I sat, looking out from the stage, right-center about a
- third of the way up the second deck (not great seats but nowhere near
- the fringes).
-
- What's the story? Did anyone else experience the same noise? Is this
- just a Springsteen phenomenon or is it typical of the sound quality at
- the Dean Dome?
