  10. The current rumour flying around town (Athens, GA) is that Micheal Stipe
  11. of R.E.M. has tested positive for HIV.  This is supposed to be confirmed
  12. in an interview of the band in "Select" magazine.  I haven't been able
  13. to track down a December issue of that magazine, so I haven't read it 
  14. myself.

  16. IMHO the rumour is probably false, since Stipe seems to be the type who
  17. would publicize such a fact, rather than deny it or let the rumour mill
  18. carry it.

  24. is due to my concern for AIDS awareness.
