  35. Tru 'nuff.  I have a couple of friends who have been raped, and what I get
  36. from knowing them, and from beingclose to their boy friends (who were _not_ 
  37. their rapists) is enlightening, and awful.

  39. The most important thing is the pain of these poor victim's next
  40. relationships.  The two girls I mentioned before.  In each case, they loved
  41. and desired their boyfriend, but needed a huge amount of help and suppport
  42. for sex to be a part of their relationships.  As far as I know, neither of
  43. these girls has had any relationship, not even friendly, with their _rapists_ 
  44. since.  In both cases, they were guys they knew, and since have _avoided_.  
  45. If they had not, it would scream of larger problems, not of a reconcilliation.

  47. In my humble (and formed and -in-formed) opinion, rape is willful assault. 
  48. If someone says no, the only way that a guy has justification to continue is
  49. if _she_ continues (of course this applies to homosexual relationships as
  50. well, but my experience there is more limited).  I am of the cavalier attitude 
  51. that the rapist should be castrated for his crime (don't give me crap about 
  52. female rapists, I've never met a victim of one).

  54. For being 18, I know too much of this and things like  it.  Growing up in
  55. NYC makes you too jaded, and I'm sure other cities are the same.  
  56. Dealing with shit like this sucks.
