  13. I bought a new wristwatch Saturday.  I drove up to the City and got it
  14. at one of those terrifying electronics stores in Chinatown.  It's a
  15. Casio DBX-112, which means I now have a wristwatch that broadcasts at
  16. 120db in sixteen languages that I'm a geek -- please roll me.

  36. And that's just the LCD display without all the weirdness up. There's
  37. all kinds of silly labels on the body next to the buttons describing
  38. what the functions of each button is in all of its modes -- which is
  39. quite a lot.  Here's a list of the modes:

  42.     Telephone memo pages (with password security)
  43.     Schedule memo pages
  44.     Four function calculator
  45.     World timezone timekeeping mode (12/24 hr format, with
  46.       daylight time)

  49.     Stopwatch

  51. It's water resistant to 50m, which means I can't snorkel with it.
  52. Horrors.  I'd draw picture of what the calculator keypad looks like,
  53. but I am not quite that overwhelmed with work -- suffice to say that
  54. no key has less than three symbols on it, and one or two has five.

  56. I'm waiting for the X Industries wristwatch that manages international
  57. currency rates and has a geigercounter built in.
