- So I'm listenning to the local radio station yesterday. Seem as if some
- sophmore (sp?) here at Cornell has attracted the attention of the Authorities
- by posting child pornography to "some national network. Appropriate action
- has been taken to prevent a recurrence" sez the radio.
-
- Hmmmmm. What network could that be? What action do you think they took?
-
- Now, mind you, I am no fan of child pornography. Sure, it's a slippery slope
- once you ban anything on the net, but I don't think naked sexually explicit
- photos of children help anybody, and you could make a real good case that such
- photos do great harm.
-
- Nevertheless, I've always appreciated the rock-n-roll, chaotic, uncensored
- (well, almost, Patty) nature of the net. And a definite chill went down my
- spine when, as I suspected, a large "Could not complete your request because
- you are not allowed to read news from this news server. Contact your system
- administrator" message popped up today when I tried to access
- alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.
-
- So, Cornell is clamping down on opportunities for filth, degradation, and
- moral turpitude.
-
- And that's why I'm now depending on you folks for my Recommended Daily
- Allotment of same.
