  23. We are owned by KMart also.  We were created as KMart's chain to appeal
  24. to an upscale crowd.  The first store was opened in Stamford, CT.  The
  25. 2nd (where I work) was opened in July.  Another one opened on Long
  26. Island.  I don't know what others were opened.
  27. Then KMart bought Borders.  I don't know exactly how the two chains are 
  28. going to be merged, but I know they must have plans to do that because
  29. we now accept Borders gift certificates and credit slips.

  35. Heh.  I can't remember if I posted it here or not, but the first week
  36. the Madonna book went on sale, we sold enough copies (at a 10% discount)
  37. to pay for 2 years of my tuition at RIC.
