  22.     My recommendation: score the urinal carefully down the centerline
  23. with a Dremel.  be sure to bring lots of spare bits; the ceramic is
  24. quite tough.  Once the urinal is scored, put a cold chisel in the score
  25. line at the top where the pipe comes in and give it a few good solid
  26. raps with a mallet.  be sure to hold the chisel perpendicular.  You may
  27. have a little cruft along the fault line if you haven't hit the chisel
  28. sharply enough or haven't scored deeply enough; you can take this off
  29. with the chisel or with a grindstone.  I do not recommend the Dremel for
  30. this.

  32.    Even if the score is good, you may have some trouble around the
  33. joints where the pipe emerges; to avoid this, I advise pouring very hot
  34. water into the urinal or over the pipes just before using the chisel;
  35. the pipes expand more than the ceramic and stress the join so that the
  36. urinal comes free of the pipes.  Don't use boiling water, as this may
  37. stress the urinal too much, leading to a jagged break.

  39.    The most important thing to remember is that a urinal is not a
  40. bathtub and that you are not doing a simple demolition job here.  The
  41. best way to destroy a bathtub is to beat it with a sledge hammer until
  42. it disintegrates, but even with careful scoring this won't help you at
  43. all with the urinal.
