- Back in the dim days when dirt was still being BETA tested, I worked at
- Bose as a technician. At that time the retail price of Bose 901's was
- about $600, while the cost to build price was $100. Now the 901 goes
- for approximately $1300 per pair, and I understand that the cost to build
- price is $300.

- I know some people who are Bose fanatics, but they are only interested in
- Series I and Series II 901's, which were built before 1976. They claim
- that the new ones sound too much like transistor radios and plastic.
