  12. I have not been able to find anything bizarre in Auburn, California, nor
  13. down the road in Rocklin where I am actually staying.  Both towns are
  14. _filled_ with white people, though I know this may come as no shock to some.

  16. However, I am used to Hawaii, where my skin color places me in a visible
  17. minority; when I go to SF, I usually stay with my brother in the
  18. Mission, where ditto.  Being a member of the predominant racial group 
  19. is disconcerting.

  21. I am however unable to establish any direct correlation between ethnic
  22. or racial homogeneity and lack of bizarreness.  More research is needed.
