  14. My first car was an '81 Escort wagon.  It was an automatic.  It made my
  15. (current) 52HP VW Diesel look like a Testarossa.  If you held the
  16. accelerator to the floor it wouldn't shift out of first until ~~50mph. 
  17. Strangely, I had to replace the timing belt 3 times.  Every time I turned on
  18. the heater fan the increase in air pressure made the "LIFT GATE" light come
  19. on.  I promised myself I'd never buy another Escort.  A few months later I
  20. bought a Chevette.
