  35. Personally I find Jim neither reasonable nor evidently intelligent,
  36. emphasis on the former.  This time he was not ranting and raving with
  37. the same fervor as his previous appearance on Talk.abortion, but it
  38. was close.  I don't know what it means to drive someone away from the
  39. debate; I also don't find that characterizing someone's views for what
  40. they are as warrantless insults.  If I had started calling Jim an
  41. asshole or a dirtbag or a scumbag, then I might agree with what you
  42. have said.  However, if someone is going to post pro-forced-pregnancy
  43. views on this net, they had better be prepared to deal with some stiff
  44. challenges to their views.  This will be particularly true when they
  45. make baseless statements and refuse to deal with the logical
  46. implications of what they say.  I saw your pro-life views here before
  47. you changed your mind, yet I didnt `drive you from the debate.'  I
  48. would suggest that I respond to differences in the way people
  49. pronounce and advocate their views and treat them accordingly.  I
  50. neither know nor care who told you I drove them from the debate here.
  51. If some advocate of forced pregnancy policies wants to pronounce their
  52. views, they had better be prepared to take some heat from me and
  53. others.  After all, Jim not only killfiled me, he also withdrew from
  54. the group.
