- We had this discussion a while back, sir.
- You may remember that the first letter (in Greek) if Christos is "Chi"
- which looks almost exactly like an X. It used to be (and often still is)
- common practice to substitute the letter X for the word Christ.
- (compare the ichthos anagram which gives rise to the fish symbol. Compare
- also X-mas.) It is also reasonably common practice to use Xian or
- X-tian as substitute for Christian. For the reason of brevity in my
- case.
