  19. Emotionalist garbage (sorry Frank, but it is).  To suppose that
  20. non-sentience is in any way a "crime" is absurd.  It supposes that our
  21. very survival makes us criminals, since plants are clearly
  22. non-sentient, and our survival pretty much requires the death of quite
  23. a few plants.  A similar situation exists with animals, although the
  24. non-sentience is rather less clear in many cases.
