- Jefferson seems to have beleived that rights occured naturally. There were
- a part of nature and inseperable from it. "That to secure these rights,
- governments are instituted among men"

- Leave God out of this, please...defending "god-given" rights is impossible
- when one is talking to an atheist. He won't give a fig if God has granted
- me rights or not...rights granted by a mythical (in his opinion) being are
- mythical. Rights found in 'nature' are natural...hmm...natural rights,
