- A restraining order was probably in place when these guys poured ten gallons
- of gasoline into the roof. Restraining orders don't do a thing. The only
- solution is to stop these antiabortion terrorists from getting too well
- organized. We don't need a full-fledged terrorist front on this issue, but
- it these things don't stop, I can easily see pro-choice groups assembling
- into gangs of armed vigilantes. That's almost what we have to do in response
- to Operation Rescue. The only difference is that nobody has any guns and the
- clinic defenders have to sign a contract not to get violent.
-
- Radicalism breeds radicalism, injustice breeds injustice, violence breeds
- violence. This is the eternal cycle. Someone could stop it, but the other
- side seems to refuse to. If the antiabortionists want to resort to violence,
- there is no law against self-defence.
-
- Of course, the best answer is not armed gangs of clinic defenders. But neither
- is it terrorist antiabortionists.
