  14. I am just beginning to research my family on my father's side. I was able to
  15. find out that my grandparents came into this country somewhere between 1900 and
  16. 1905. They settled in Elizebeth, NJ and eventually moved to Roosevelt NJ which
  17. is now called Carteret NJ. My grandfather and Grandmother met on the boat on the
  18. way to America and married after arriving in this country. My grandfather came
  19. from Lithuania and my grandmother came from Russia ( before the revolution ).

  21. I have also found out the name HOPP was shortened from the name OPPENHEIM at the
  22. time of their arrival in this country. I am still trying to obtain what I can
  23. from family members. I would appreciate any information anyone may be able to
  24. send my way.
