- I am just beginning to research my family on my father's side. I was able to
- find out that my grandparents came into this country somewhere between 1900 and
- 1905. They settled in Elizebeth, NJ and eventually moved to Roosevelt NJ which
- is now called Carteret NJ. My grandfather and Grandmother met on the boat on the
- way to America and married after arriving in this country. My grandfather came
- from Lithuania and my grandmother came from Russia ( before the revolution ).
-
- I have also found out the name HOPP was shortened from the name OPPENHEIM at the
- time of their arrival in this country. I am still trying to obtain what I can
- from family members. I would appreciate any information anyone may be able to
- send my way.

- Thanks...Jeff Hopp
