- |=======================================================|
- | Welcome to: The 'genserv' Mail Archive Server |
- |=======================================================|
-
- The 'genserv' mail archive server is a service which allows requests
- for files to be sent by mail and serviced automatically. These files
- are now available to anyone requesting them and using the syntax as
- seen below.
-
- To request this help message, send a message to genserv@csoftec.csf.com
- with a line similar to the following in the text of the message:
-
- send help to youraddress
-
- To request the current index, send a message to genserv@csoftec.csf.com
- with the text:
-
- send index to youraddress
-
- To request a specific file, send text:
-
- send file to youraddress
-
- Case of requests are unimportant, and incorrect requests will be quietly
- ignored. The 'send ' keyword must be at the beginning of the text line.
- The GenServer software does not look at the Subject: of the message.
-
- Multiple files may be requested in a single message, one per line:
-
- send file1 to youraddress
- send file2 to youraddress
- send file3 to youraddress
-
- The YOURADDRESS may be in the form relay!node!user, specifying a path
- directly from csoftec, or in the form user@system.domain.
-
- Examples:
- send index to systemid!username
- ^ ^
- | |_____________ address
- |______________________ master index
-
- send gedcom.1 to username@system.domain.com
- ^ ^
- | |__________ address
- |______________________ file to send
-
- Send messages that need to be read by a human to genadm@csoftec.csf.com
-
- /end of 'help' file/
