  13. Seeking the parents of Willia Phibbs who married Margaret Maxwell, dau. of
  14. Samuel Maxwell, in Guilford County, NC in 1796.  William's father mabe
  15. Calvin B. Phibbs, born Ireland, and came to America about 1750.  The
  16. mother's first as well as maiden name is unknown.  William is believed to
  17. have had a brother Richard who removed to Tennessee, as well as two
  18. possible sisters (1) Mary who married John JAMES in Feb. 1790 and Ellinor
  19. who married William Pilkinton in Aug 1800, both of these marriages were in
  20. Guilford County, NC.

  24. William PHIBBS of Grange Co. Sligo (Ireland), purchased Abbeyville, on the
  25. 03 Aug 1715 m. Anna, the daughter of John Fleming na Gower (Fleming of the
  26. goars).  John Fleming was reputed to have come into the town of Boyle with
  27. a stocking full of gold to see his nephew who lived at Collooney.  Mr.
  28. William Phibbs of Abbeyville has issue: -
