- A friend has an ancestor who was a member of a particular post of the
- Grand Army of the Republic, in Minnesota. This was an organization of Union
- Civil War veterans more or less analogous to the current American Legion.
- My friend knows the location and post number. He would like to know if the
- records of such posts, and this one in particular, are still in existence,
- and if so, where they might be accessed.
-
- Any ideas on this? More details will be supplied if necessary.
