  12.   As of today, homosexuality is acceptable in the Australian Army, the vote
  13. being supported by our Prime Minister, Paul Keating. The Defence Minister
  14. and the armed forces were against the move, so how they will meet their
  15. new legal obligation is yet to be seen. 
  16.   Australia already has provision in immigration laws for gay couples, yet
  17. there is no national anti discrimination laws with regard to homosexuals.
  18. The steps taken so far should make Australia (politically anyway)
  19. one of the most gay friendly countries.
