- As of today, homosexuality is acceptable in the Australian Army, the vote
- being supported by our Prime Minister, Paul Keating. The Defence Minister
- and the armed forces were against the move, so how they will meet their
- new legal obligation is yet to be seen.
- Australia already has provision in immigration laws for gay couples, yet
- there is no national anti discrimination laws with regard to homosexuals.
- The steps taken so far should make Australia (politically anyway)
- one of the most gay friendly countries.

- James.
