  24. There is a University of Michigan Presidential Statement which prohibits
  25. discrimination based on sexual orientation, so the Regents of the Undiversity
  26. (especially Mr. Homophobe Himself, Deane Baker) refuse to add it to the bylaws.

  28. The Statement was drafted by then-President Harold Shapiro, and was reaffirmed
  29. by President Duderstadt.
