- If you mean my blurb was of the conservative point of view, perhaps
- you are correct. If you mean the paragraph describes the conservative
- point of view, you are almost correct.
-
- 'Conservatives' favor a strong enforcement of laws by government.
- That much is true. Conservatives generally prefer fewer laws to more,
- however. Murder, rape, theft, arson - such are the things conservatives
- like to punish through legal action. I suspect you are trying to
- cast the 'conservative' and 'fundamentalist' positions as one
- in the same. This, however, is more a recent phenomena than
- a historical one. In the United States, 'conservatives' have often
- been of the 'less government' persuasion.
-
- Now, fundamentalists are as stark raving looney as the liberals
- and fascists... Mroe government, more _Law_ (and preferably
- religious law, at that). Instead of the glorification of State,
- or the glorification of some abstract boobery (the Liberals would
- be a lot more dangerous if they didn't have their heads so far
- up their butts on exactly what it is they represent...), the
- fundamentalists are in for the glorification of Christ (theirs).
