- I have seen this assertion a couple of times and I want to point out that
- the reason this legislation passed is that it passed in almost every
- suburban county around Denver, Boulder being an exception (I could be
- wrong about Adams county). The measure was defeated in Boulder and Denver
- cities, but passed in the rest of the Denver metro area. It could never
- have passed statewide had this not occurred. Draw your own conclusions
- about the makeup of these suburban counties.
