  21. disenfranchising images of nothing but an *exceedingly* narrow
  22. band of physical type in the gay media, absolutely NONE of which
  23. I can identify with in the slightest.  Forgive the FUCK out of me 
  24. for being pissed off that our supposedly more "enlightened"
  25. community is as fucking bigoted against Persons of Fur as a lot
  26. of WASP society is against Persons of Color or QueerFolk.

  29. to find images I can identify with in the STRAIGHT media? _Al_ on
  30. "Home Improvement"? Jeff Smith, the Frugal Gourmet? Wolf Blitzer
  31. on CNN, for Gaia's sake!

  33. I realize we're probably not going to do away with the prejudice
  34. against "overweight" any time soon; but there is no reason
  35. whatsoever -- bullshit aside -- that the much-vaunted (by others)
  36. _International Male_ catalogue couldn't have a handsome,
  37. muscular, 40ish Daddy type with a furry chest and a thick, salt
  38. and pepper moustache -- or a late 20s Bear Cub with a nice beard and
  39. a "torso-t" of fur to emphasize his pecs and abs.
